Software shaped to your operation.
Bespoke systems for small and mid-sized companies and nonprofits: reporting, automation, and custom tools.
Your data is everywhere except where you need it.
Exports pile on top of exports, and the dashboard gets double-checked against the spreadsheet it was supposed to replace. Reports break when someone adds a middle initial to a name, and the one person who knows why is on vacation.
- Basic reporting eats 15-plus hours a month
- Answering one question means opening six tabs
- Nobody is sure which file is the real one
Reporting & data systems
One pipeline from your source tools to reports that rebuild themselves every week without a person doing it.
Custom internal tools
Booking systems, client portals, and staff dashboards shaped to how your operation already runs.
Automation & integrations
Payments, invoicing, reminders, and calendar sync that happen on their own, so follow-up work stops depending on someone remembering it.
Consulting & second opinions
Stack decisions, audits of what you already run, and a technical read on quotes other vendors gave you. Advice by the hour, no build required.
Then the system takes over.
Case management for ten staff across three programs.
Family records lived in spreadsheets, inboxes, and people's heads. Pomelo built their case and staff management system: one record per family, with the notes, check-ins, goals, and action plans the whole team works from.
The staff side runs in the same system: purchase orders, PTO requests, and task management, so the operational work lives where the case work already happens.
"I used to piece together a family's story from three spreadsheets and somebody's memory. Now I open one page before a home visit and it's all there."
Sixty reports that build themselves.
Their numbers lived in three tools, joined by name matching that broke when someone added a middle initial. Basic reporting burned 15 hours over six weeks, and evaluating one crew leader meant opening six pages.
Pomelo replaced it with one automated pipeline: crew performance, job costing, sales goals, and damage tracking across ten years of jobs, with alerts that email the owners when data goes stale or a job sits on hold too long.
A booking system that fills group sessions on its own.
Pomelo built a booking system around a custom grouping engine: kids book their own sessions and only see times that match their level, so groups fill instead of fragmenting. Per-coach schedules, Google Calendar sync, and invoicing run underneath it.
"Parents used to text me at 9 pm asking when the next session was. Now kids book themselves into the right group and my Tuesday fills up without me."
A tour company's whole back office in one platform.
Client information came in through Jotform and got retyped by hand into a legacy CRM that was never built for tours. Pomelo built the platform their staff and their clients both work in:
- Tour signup, registration forms, and passport uploads read by OCR
- Installment payments with automated invoicing and reminders
- Client messaging, announcements, and staff reporting
A design cleanup for a salon's booking software.
The product did its job, but every screen looked different and felt like a back office. Pomelo reworked the design end to end:
- One visual system across the client side: landing page, booking flow, and dashboard
- A staff day grid reorganized so deposits, buffers, and the waitlist read at a glance
- A style guide with the palette, type, and components, so new screens stay consistent

Grace builds systems from Charlottesville, Virginia. Every project on this page ran through one person, from the first call to the code to the support after launch. If all you need is advice, that works too. Stack audits and second opinions run by the hour.
